Album number 3 - The lowdown

Well, its tough to say too much about album three yet as the final track listing isn't decided but here are some details:

1. The sound will be a little darker than the previous two
2. The album will contain 11 tracks (to keep with tradition)
3. The artwork will probably be predominantly blue

Yeah, that doesn't really fill in many blanks does it, sorry!

OK how's this? Confirmed tracks (in no particular order) are:

1. Dog Star - A balls out sleazy punk and roll tirade
2. My wicked other self - chuggy introspection with a tuney chorus
3. Rip it up - Very different for Grinn - dark, shouty and agressive
4. Ordinary Day - Familiar Grinn teritory - melodic punk with an edge

False starts and re-starts

Well, we got togther as a three piece in early summer, which in retrospect was bad timing as there have been all sorts of interruptions to our rehersal schedule.

But now ... as of two weeks ago Grinn are back to a regular pratice and as the winter closes in we'll be locking ourselves away in our freezing studio and brewing a new batch of rock and roll goodness.

The plan - such that it is right now - is thus. We are writing and rehersing for album number three. We will start gigging this material at low key gigs starting early 2007 with a view to recording once we've tweaked and road tested.
